How to Use Up Old Joints?
Good morning! I've been ordering and using edibles from here for years and they do exactly what I need them to do. Weirdly, smoking does nothing for either myself or my husband--we've tried multiple times w/different strains and get no high at all.
Here's my question: I have at least a dozen freebie joints that I've been sent along with my orders (thank you!). What is the easiest, quickest way to pull them apart and use them for or in something else so they don't go to waste? Thanks in advance!

I have taken stems and seeds, along with any leftover crumbs and bits of bud, and extracted the thc by simmering in butter. A long, low simmer, and it ought to turn your butter noticeably green, like olive green. Strain and chill. When your recipe calls for butter, use the extract.
I've had mixed results doing that. Edibles don't do much for me but this process worked well enough. I made a batch of cookies and between my brother and myself we ate the whole batch.
We didn't get much work done that day.
Thanks Justaguy. I might try your route--bake a few goodies and keep them in the freezer. Thanks!
I got the idea from someone way back when I was loaded up on stems and seeds, it's a way to use every bit of the plant that you can. I once tried it using some good buds, ones that I would normally smoke, and it didn't turn out very well. It was a waste of good bud for the results I got. But it will work on the stems and seeds. It is a long process, it takes an hour or so at simmer and you got to keep the butter stirred or it could burn. Don't let it boil, just a happy little simmer.
