Grasshopper

I ordered some Grasshopper before the 420 discount went into effect and before all the new Loud strains were posted. My timing was bad. C'est la vie. Was hoping for a zippy indica/super-cerebral sativa hybrid strain for that sweet part of the day when work is over and fun begins. Having "run the menu" of suitable MedMama possibilities, I decided to try greenhouse-grown Grasshopper.

Not much is know about the strain. @Yaqui319 liked it (https://medicinemanonline.com/discussion/comment/3279#Comment_3279).

When I opened my letter the other day, I got a chance to try "LA Pop Rocks" first (https://medicinemanonline.com/discussion/696/la-pop-rocks/p1); like Grasshopper, that's a strain I'd never have ordered, under normal circumstances. Strains lacking any sort of legitimate menu description send up red flags for me.

Anyway, my impression of this herb, straight from the bag, is "similar to LA Pop Rocks--ordinary looking--but has bigger stems." It's 7.2 grams, well cured, but not especially gorgeous, except in the way all cannabis is gorgeous...on the inside (or rather, in the trichomes).

The aroma is an herbal and chemical thing. Not in-your-face strong, but nice gassiness. Upon close inspection, there are a lot of orange tendrils in the buds. This will make a beautiful joint, rolled slightly lumpy to appease the gods...

Then I smoked it, with a partner; sadly, the punch just wasn't there. Average effects, short-lasting. Grasshopper does not give me any special flavor or quality of experience. 3.25/5

  • Yes I just got a half of the grasshopper and when I was done pulling the stems that were 5 grams of the 14.2 grams the buds were not very dense and yes the punch was not there.

  • Yep. Big time sad alert.
